EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The number of people suffering from autoimmune and inflammatory diseases is rising and there is a great unmet medical need. The market for these diseases exceeds $50 billion a year and cytokines are the most commercially succesful therapeutic protein targets with annual sales in excess of $20 billion. Ingentyx is combining expertise that identifies novel Cytokine-Like Proteins (nCLPs) and brings them to pre-clinical PoC for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. This combination of expertise in Ingentyx secures a cost-efficient, de-risked, highly precise and very fast route to out-license agreements for an investment of €5,3 million and provides a very large upside potential.

R&D activities
Ingentyx utilises verified proprietary algorithms and databases to discover nCLPs and the function of these nCLPs in the normal and pathological human immune system is subsequently defined by a unique Immuno-Profiling™ platform that examines specific impact at the highest levels of resolution to allow clear and relevant predictions of disease target and therapeutic utility. Pre-clinical PoC for the function of the nCLPS or monoclonal antibodies raised against them are demonstrated in cell subsets in human pathological models and human primary pathological cells as well as in animal models of relevant pathology thereby providing an extremely robust IP position and highly attractive out-licensing package.

Disease targets
With novel disease modifying therapeutic products Ingentyx targets immunological diseases with great unmet medical needs. Disease examples include rheumatoid arthritis, Chrohn's disease, multiple sclerosis, lupus and allergies. The technology platform of Ingentyx is capable of discovering, evaluating and developing therapeutic proteins for the treatment of such diseases to the pre-clinical PoC stage. Ingentyx will depict therapeutic strategies and create a potential for symptomatic and potentially curative treatments of patients that today have no chance of cure.

Business opportunities
A substantial proportion of the humane secretome is under-investigated with around one third being of completely unknown function. This offers a major opportunity to identify nCLPs that impact the human immune system, with therapeutic potential arising from either a modified nCLP or a neutralising nCLP biological (e.g. humanised mAb). For example, reducing the immune response provides an effective strategy for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, whereas facilitating the immune response can promote anti-cancer treatment and vaccination protocols. Ingentyx believes that a dedicated and focused effort to discover, evaluate and develop highly novel biologics, nCLPs, for the treatment of immunological diseases will result in major healthcare benefits associated with commercial success.

The strong IP associated with pre-clinical PoC data packages on nCLPS makes Ingentyx a very attractive partner for large biotech and pharmaceutical companies wishing to discover and develop highly novel therapies for the treatment of immunological diseases. These include Amgen, Phizer, Biogen Idec, Merck, GSK and Abbott to name a few.

Ingentyx is based on combined superior discovery, evaluation and development platforms to profit from therapeutic strategies to treat large market immunological diseases

Ingentyx is build on impressive track records of finding promising new therapeutic biologics

Ingentyx has strong academic and corporate networks to facilitate execution of the strategy

Management Team
Ingentyx consists of a very skilled and internationally renowned board of directors with significant industrial and business experience in the field. The CEO, Dr Per Horn, has 10 years of experience in bridging the gap bewteen bioinformatics and experimental biology and has succesfully managed similar projects.

Investment opportunities
Ingentyx offers unique products and a technology platform with large potential for the treatment of diseases arising from immune system dysfunction. The ability of our technologies to add therapeutic value to novel and existing proteins is already commercially validated through revenue generating license agreements. The market for biologics to treat immunological diseases is exceeding $50 billion a year and expanding; Ingentyx will penetrate this market by discovering relevant nCLPs that direct novel therapeutic strategies with likely considerable advantages over existing treatments.

Ingentyx is actively seeking a Series A investment of €5,3 million in tranches over the next three years to identify, evaluate and develop nCLPs for the treatment of immune related disease. These resources will enable the progression of at least five novel therapeutic candidates to the late stages of preclinical testing allowing for valuable out-license agreements with major pharmaceutical companies.

Milestones (2012-2014)
In 2012 Ingentyx will establish five new projects focussed on five nCLPs and initiate extensive immuno profiling

In 2013 Ingentyx's novel projects will generate several patent applications for therapeutic nCLPs and potentially five out-licensed projects will generate revenue by the end of 2014, whereafter a tradesale is pursued.

Exit strategy
Ingentyx' arising dominating IP position on novel immune-related therapeutic targets will attract serious attention from major companies and Ingentyx has a clear exit strategy in the form of a tradesale that is predicted to be favourable to investors after three years.
